Thankful & A Thanksgiving Tablescape

This weekend I “played” with our new dining room!  I wanted to figure out how it will look for next week.  For our first Thanksgiving in our new home!

I ran to Trader Joe’s with the kids and got the most beautiful assortment of flowers – roses, ornamental cabbages and other fall flowers.  It is important for me to have the arrangement low so we can chat over our Thanksgiving dessert.
Then I gathered items from our home – pine cones, wine corks, the paper table runner from Paperscapes (I got to line drawers) and my mom’s china and silver she gave to me when we moved into our very first home.
It is the small things, the little touches that mean so much.  The traditions of gathering pinecones from the woods or saving corks from delicious bottles of wine.  Savoring Grampy’s sweet pineapple berry relish and baking pies with the boys.
This year in particular I have so much to be thankful for.
My loving and supportive family.  This beautiful home and this delicious food.
I am also thankful for all of you who stop by this little blog of mine.
So very grateful and thankful indeed.
