The Pass It On Project

the space between

One thing that I love about blogging, other than being crafty, is the blogging community.  I know I haven’t been blogging for years like some and I’m relatively new (Silver Pennies will celebrates its birthday on August 1st), but in such a short time I’ve felt so welcomed into this amazing community.  I have made friends in my own state of Massachusetts.  But have also made wonderful friendships in the mid-west, California, Canada, across the Pacific to Australia and across the little pond we call the Atlantic to friends in England.  I feel so very lucky to a be a part of this very large and welcoming community.

Then I heard about the Pass It On Project by my friend, Fiona, over at Just Paint it White.  It is a way of passing on gratitude and showing other bloggers you admire them.  Kind of paying the love forward with your creativity. When Fiona told me about it, I couldn’t wait to take part.  She made two gifts for me and two gifts for Maureen over at It’s All Connected.  We pass on one gift and then make four gifts for two other bloggers.  Isn’t that a really special idea?

I wanted to share Fiona’s post about her gifts that she made for Maureen and I.  Look at these packages:

Beautiful parcels

Aren’t they beautiful?  I love the recycled wrapping paper, the raffia bows and the hand stamped tag from Fiona.  Getting these little pressies made my day!

I absolutely love what she sent.  She made us these gorgeous twine dispensers:

Hand-made Burlap Twine Dispensers

Aren’t they sweet?  I love everything about them.  I love the material!  I love the little driftwood pegs she made and that blue and white fabric is so gorgeous.  Fiona knows how much I love the color blue.

Driftwood

But most of all, I love the little tags inside:

This twine dispenser will come in handy with all my many projects.  I passed the other dispenser on to my mom.  A huge thank you to Fiona for such lovely gifts.
I’ll be passing on the love and gratitude to my friend, Cheryl, over at It’s Two AM and my friend, Heidi, at All That Brings Joy!  Can’t wait to share what I make for them!

Thanks Danielle, I’m so glad you like them and that you gave one to your mum. You wrote such a nice post, it brought a tear to my eye !
When you have made your gifts, you should tell Karah at The Space Between, because she has a great Pinterest board with all the gifts being passed around.
