Favorite Sources for Faux Greenery
I know many people are already decorating so I thought I’d share my favorite sources for faux greenery. It is our tradition to decorate Thanksgiving weekend and we plan on doing that again this year. I love to decorate with John (and he’ll be back from RISD).
I love greenery and decor that looks and feels real. This year I’m craving super cozy, super comforting, and lots of light! I will be reusing many elements we already have.

Garlands
Last year I invested in a few pieces from Afloral and I love the quality and feel. They feel just like the real thing and I don’t need to worry about pine needles falling into the gas fireplace.
Afloral Real Touch Norfolk Pine Garland

I love these pine garlands. They are soft and look so real. They were also really easy to manipulate on the mantel.

I will definitely be using this same garland on the mantel again this year.
Balsam Hill Cypress Garland
We have used many Balsam Hill products through out our home and the quality is exceptional our Christmas tree, wreaths, and garlands all look as good as the first time we put them up (even the outdoor products). We have decorated with this Cypress Garland for years.

We’ve had the garlands so long that the lights no longer work so we strung some warm outdoor ones on them.
The wreath on our front door was real last year but this year I’m thinking of putting up a faux one.
Here’s an image with the matching wreath but I added starfish on it:

Christmas Trees
I’m a huge fan of Balsam Hill trees. We’ve had the Saratoga Spruce and have used this tree on and off since 2018. I love this tree – the shape, the needle texture, and the height. In photos, though, the lighting looks warmer than it actually is. I really love warm white lights. So if I were to order this tree again I think I might get unlit and customize the lights myself.
Here’s a peek at this tree through the years. Our first year with it:

It really does looks so lifelike! This was our tree last year:

Outdoor Greenery
Last year we decided to make Luke’s Kei Truck look like my Kei Truck Holiday Card. This is the card:

And this is his truck:

The faux tree is from Ikea and was so affordable. Only $39. They have different sizes this year. We plan on doing this with the truck again. We got string lights and put them on while it’s parked in the driveway.
Luke drives with the truck like this. It just makes dump runs a little hard. Ha! ha!

We went back to Ikea and just got these two petite trees to go in our concrete urns and we’re going to string lights on them. These trees were $20 each.

I’ve loved taking part each year but have decided not to take part this year. I currently have anxiety and things are just too busy between home, the shop, wholesale, etc. I will be sharing our home but will be going at a slower pace so I can fully enjoy time with my family and embrace our favorite traditions. I hope you all understand.
