Sale Pending!

I have some happy news for you:

Our house sale is pending!!!
We are so thrilled that someone fell in love with our home.  The buyers came to see it over St. Patrick’s Day weekend and made an offer that evening (I wonder if the fresh baked Irish Soda bread helped????).  I’ve been hesitant to share tons as I’ve had my fingers and toes firmly crossed and I get a little superstitious…..

If you read the blog regularly than you know how much we love our town.  Scituate is such a special place.  Scituate Harbor is still small and quaint as far as seaside towns go.  It has a two screen cinema, a bowling alley over the hardware store, fantastic little shops and amazing restaurants on the water.

Scituate Harbor

This community is tight-knit and family friendly.  We enjoy trick or treating in the Harbor, where the merchants fling open their doors and give candy to the kids, and we haven’t missed the St. Patrick’s Day Parade yet.  Scituate Heritage Days is also one of our favorites!

It was our hope to find our forever home in this town we love so much.

Guess what?!?  We’ve fallen in love with an antique home in Scituate Harbor.  It is a sweet house filled with crystal knobs, beautiful hardwood and a hop, skip and a jump to the Harbor.

Antique details in the new home.

If all goes according to plan we’ll be moving from our current home into the new home toward the end of May.  We also plan on having a HUGE moving and OPEN STUDIO SALE the first weekend in May!!!

My DIY and painting projects may be less frequent as we start to pack up the house but I’m so very excited to share this journey with you all! x

Great news!! As you know, I’m the one who did the 25th anniversary trip with my husband a couple of years ago. We took 2 weeks to cover 8 states and as many lighthouses as we could! Of all the little towns and lighthouses.. BY FAR Scituate.. town AND lighthouse was my absolute favorite. THEN, when I get back home (Oxford, AL) I find you blog.. someone who actually LIVES in my favorite northern town! How cool is that.. so, needless to say, I’m living vicariously through you and hopefully, one day, we’ll make it back to Scituate… my little… Read more »
