Champagne Cocktails and the Prettiest Bar Cart

I’m so excited to share fun champagne cocktails and the prettiest bar cart I’ve ever seen!

For years, I’ve dreamt of a pretty bar cart for our living room and this month my dream came true! I knew this little corner would be the perfect spot to mix up some fun cocktails.

The Oscars are only 17 days away and I love watching them from our living room each year. I may not be in a fancy gown or bedazzled with jewels but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a festive party in our PJs whilst sipping champagne cocktails!  Don’t you think this pretty little bar cart is the perfect addition to our room?

It’s the Felicity Gold Serving Cart by Safavieh. I loved how the images on Home Depot’s site looked and I’m happy to report it looks just as pretty in person. I love the antiqued gold which looks like it’s been gold leafed. The mirrored shelves make our room feel bright and spacious.

Did you guys know Home Depot carried such great home decor products?

EVERYTHING you see on the selves are from the Home Depot, too (with the exception of the liquor). The glasses, champagne glasses, and the champagne bucket!

I love the modern lines of these glasses above. They’re really for tequila but whiskey works in them, too.

The cart is on casters so can be wheeled around with ease.

The cut glass scotch tumblers offer a generous pour.

Also great for sparkling water or chocolate milk which the kids will be drinking for the Oscars!

The hammered champagne bucket reminds me of the delicate art nouveau period.

Doesn’t it look like an heirloom which has been passed down? Simple elegance. The bar cart and bucket are timeless pieces which would go with any decor.

Champagne Cocktails

These cocktails are infused with orange and cointreau to give a golden hue just like the Oscar statuette. A sunny mix of champagne, orange, and a hint of gin.

What You’ll Need

• Champagne
• Orange Slices
• Cointreau
• Gin

Method

Pour champagne into glass (we like Veuve Cliquot or Tattinger), but you can use whatever kind you like best.

Add a slice of orange.

Top with one shot of Gin (we like Hendricks) and half a shot of Cointreau.

Serve your cocktails immediately and toast the Oscars!

 

These are delicious!

I particularly like serving them in these coupe glasses because of the wide opening and the pretty cut crystal detailing. They look like something from the 1930s or 40s.
