Brimfield Highlights 2015

My husband gets me.

He gets that on my birthday, I want to get up early and be out the door to treasure hunt.

On my birthday we left the house at 5:30am and drove to Brimfield Antique Show.  It was heaven and so full of inspiration.  I loved looking at the staging to get ideas for the Vintage Bazaar which will be coming up next month (June 20th and 21st).  The Vintage Bazaar actually had a booth and I loved all the succulents and plants.  This area was by Fleurish Home and Garden:

Florals

Preserved Boxwood

LOVED the concrete with the succulents, the domes, the glasses with the flowers.  Who and I kidding?  I LOVED it all!

JJs Field opened that morning and there were swarms of people lining up to get in there.  We walked around Central Field and then headed over.  The prices were pretty high so only picked up two smaller things in this field but fun looking around.

At Brimfield you can find ANYTHING.  Looking for the front end of a car?  Found it for you in pretty blue!

My friend Cary Goodrich was a vendor at Brimfield. She was in Matthew Mead’s Decorating and I had so much fun meeting her at the launch party click here.

This was Cary’s booth:

Isn’t this window amazing?

I discovered a new vendor who I hadn’t met before, The Vintage Retriever.  Click here for their site.  LOVED everything in there booth.  You may have seen these images I shared on Instagram and Facebook:

This was in another booth (Sage Farm Antiques) and I thought it would be so sweet in a cottage / country half bath:

Here’s some more treasures and inspirations.  I kept taking photos of anything and everything that inspired me. We walked and walked and walked, my legs ached the next day.

I know you all are dying to see what I brought home.  I hope it isn’t dissappointing.  I did have high hopes of FILLING the truck with treasures.  But this is what caught my eye:

Brimfield Finds

Thought the spools would be great for staging and I picture a flower in this bottle:

The chippy blue paint got me on the gauge.  I think this might live on my desk in my office.  That color and chippiness make me so happy:

This little brass mister found a home on our mantel already:

I also found a pretty blue chippy door for Kjeld’s gallery.

We left Brimfield and as we were driving back to the highway I saw a sign for a flea market and found these there.  I think they’ll be great for The Vintage Bazaar coming up in June.

Vintage Bird Cage

I can see the bird cage as a dome over a plant.

The best part of the whole day was being with my husband we sipped coffee, we strolled hand in hand and talked.  Thank you to my sweet Luke for making my birthday so special and thank you to my parents for watching the boys for us.

Did you get to Brimfield this year?  If so what was your favorite find?  If you want some antiquing tips, I shared some last week, click here.

Wishing you all a wonderful LONG weekend!  Happy Memorial Day!

We hit the same booths one day apart! Next spring I am going back and staying overnight nearby so I can spend two days, one was not enough. Loved your finds, the best thing is there is stuff for everyone’s style. I just wish Cary had two of those windows so I could have bought one.

Sorry I missed it this May. Thinking September might be more doable. July tends to be too hot for me. I always look forward to the Vintage Bazaar so I will check out your booth there.

Love that chippy blue clock. I would have picked it up too. Looks like there was some fabulous displays there.
