Seasons of Home – Outdoor Decor

The other day it did not feel like Autumn in Scituate.  The thermometer got to 90 degrees!  But our exterior looked like fall.

Conor and I had quite a successful shopping trip to Home Goods.  I was trying to make a wreath for the door and fighting with wire hangers and grapevines and then I saw this beauty at the shop.

Cue halo around wreath and dreamy music.

I had to have it.  I especially love the dried wheat and the happy sunflowers:

The yellow goes so well with the buxton blue on our door.  Do you notice another new addition?

Oh, you did notice!  I’m so glad you like the vintage brass whale knocker.  We didn’t have it up when I revealed the new exterior color.  It was an etsy find and goes perfectly with our seaside home.

My planters with potato vines and sea grass are still going strong so I’ve left them for now.  I’ve rounded out the rest of outdoor decor with faux pumpkins that I already owned.  I really love the real thing but haven’t found any yet this year.  I’m hoping to get some cinderella pumpkins at the ASP pumpkin patch once it opens.

For now, I have these ones on the steps –

Conor and I found this great woven one at Home Goods –

I couldn’t resist picking it up.  I love it outside but it will also look great by out fireplace or in our front hall.  So many options once we get some real pumpkins.

Oh, and I have to share this sweet autumn clematis with you.  We’ve been waiting all summer for it to bloom.

It was worth the wait.  If you stand under the moongate all you can hear is “bbbbzzzzzz” there are so many bees enjoying these flowers.

They smell heavenly too!  I wish the blog was equipped with “smell-a-vision” for you!

I so enjoyed taking part in Season’s of Home: Autumn Edition!  Hope you enjoyed visiting all the blogs.  Be sure to check out my friend, Jen’s blog, City Farmhouse.  She’s also sharing some fall inspiration today.

Here’s the line-up of the Seasons of Home schedule:
Monday – AKA Design
Wednesday – Craftberry Bush
Friday – City Farmhouse and Finding Silver Pennies

Your porch looks SO inviting! VERY New England (you know I love that). I want that clematis! Mine is a spring bloomer and I could use something for Fall. I have heard they smell lovely!

What beautiful fall decorations! Great wreath you picked up – I would have too. As much as I enjoy making things, sometimes you see a pre-made item and just have to go for it! Your little pumpkins are so sweet and I l love sweet potato vine! Enjoy transitioning into fall! Hugs, Leena

Your decor is lovely! I am especially loving your whale doorknocker. Having a cape cod on the Jersey Shore, I’ve been on the lookout for something fun. Visiting from Southern Hospitality
