I Have a Confession…

Do you remember Isla?

She had beautiful brass pulls and a beautiful serpentine shape with dovetail drawers.

She was painted in Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint in Ironstone and it was chippy magic.  Do you remember her?

Isla Dresser

Well, I was super duper in love with her.  I tried to let her go.  Local friends were interested in taking her home as were so many people on Etsy.  I had shipping requests from Atlanta, Kentucky, Canada, California and other places in between.

Each morning I would have my coffee and gaze at her longingly.  The same would happen over dinner.  I kept telling Luke how much I loved her.  So I have to confess to you I loved her so much I had to keep her.

Here she is in our bedroom:

Before we had an Easlake Victorian in her place which I loved, but Isla is more my style:

If you look closely you may see some other new additions (all of which I’ll share real soon).  Doesn’t she compliment our “Reclaimed” Wood headboard?

Each morning I wake up so happy to see her there.

Every once in a while you just have to keep something you worked on. She was meant to stay right where she is!

It is a beautiful piece, I wouldn’t have been able to part with it either.

love it in your space. it is a gorgeous piece. it’s always so hard to sell pieces and equally hard to keep them when you’d like to make the sale as well!

Isla is just beautiful! It’s really hard when we do this for a living but every once in a while, we have to keep something this special for ourselves. I don’t blame you one bit and she looks gorgeous in your room! Hugs, Leena
