This is my very first Christmas post for 2020! My mom just had knee surgery two weeks ago so I’ve been staying with her while she recovers. To be honest the holidays have really snuck up on me! I’m very excited to be taking part in Krista’s Seasonal Simplicity Free Gift Tags hop. Lots more amazing gift tags and free printables by my friends are at the bottom of this post.

A few weeks ago I started painting evergreen trees. It’s actually very therapeutic.

I started off doing a class on Skillshare. It’s actually great fun. The class focused on several style trees in Payne’s Gray.

Then I started playing with various colors of greens and blues.

Some trees are big and fat while some are barely there.

It’s just so much fun to spend a few hours with paints. If you want to start a watercolor practice you might like this post on my must have supplies.

I’m a visual learner and I learn by doing so I find Skillshare a super resource. There’s so many classes for in watercolor and hand lettering among many other things. I honestly wish there were more hours in the day to watch all these videos! As a special gift to you guys – get a free 2-Week trial of Skillshare Premium Membership click here.

Watercolor Pine Tree Gift Tags

I found this pretty paper at Michael’s. I picked up some plaid and some paper with pretty wintery trees that I should would pair nicely with these gift tags.

To make the gift tags. I print them out on card stock and cut to size. Then I use a whole punch and insert ribbon.

Danielle, these are going to be perfect for my gifts this year. I’m doing neutrals with French blue and it is hard to find something simple but beautiful that will work with my French blue ribbon. Yours will be perfect. I love the way you styled yours with the dark plaid. Enjoy Thanksgiving with your family tomorrow. Thanks so much for these beautiful tags

All are so pretty. I wish I had a color printer. I printed off the trees anyway and may try to use color on them and also use as a guide to try to paint some lol. You are so talented.
