Make A Wish!
I don’t know about you, but I can’t resist making a wish when I see the white puffs of a dandelion. Those airy little seeds that dance on the wind taking your wish with them! I’m one of those people who dry out the wish bone. I make wishes at 11:11! Eyelashes are fun to wish on too. I also always make wishes on birthday candles (even when they aren’t my own)! You can never have to many wishes, right?
Well, I think this habit, my wishing habit has rubbed off on my 2 and 6 year olds. Whenever we go for a walk we have to stop, pick the dandelion and make our wishes.

Check out the look Poppy is giving Conor! Utter disgust at spreading dandelions over our lawn (I’m sure my hubby will think the same when he sees this picture). This wishing does make our walk take longer. But I love this part of spring and summer. It reminds me of being little and doing exactly the same thing.

I do the whole wishing thing too – it’s just much easier to take my dog to the beach. In the parks he just goes mad for the scent of squirrel, then he tries to drag me into everyones gardens on the way home !
