Goodbye, 2011!

What a year!  Not only did we add a new little one to our family.  Our sweet and, oh, so lovable, Poppy:

But we traveled to Tuscany and England to visit family and friends:
We played LOTS at Minot Beach (our favorite beach in Scituate):
In August, I started chatting to you all on Silver Pennies and I’m, oh so happy I did.  This blog has been a real joy to me and I want to thank you all for reading it every day.  I know everyone is busy and life is hectic and I’m so grateful that when you are on the internet you check in with Silver Pennies once in a while.  In celebration of the end of 2011, I thought it would be fun to recap my favorite projects:
Our new fireplace!  What a difference it made to our living room.  I actually love being in that room now.  No more ugly, 60s, orange brick!
Refreshing an old chair to work at my desk.
Making my own sign in honor of Minot Beach.
The $10 gentleman’s dresser for my English gentleman!
And finally, our rustic headboard.  It has made our bedroom so much more cozy:
I have lots of exciting ideas and projects planned for 2012.  I’m looking forward to sharing the New Year with you!

Hey Danielle! I LOVE your son’s big boy room! I’m starting to think of ideas for my daughter’s big girl room. So fun! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog, All In A Day, and for your sweet words about my “Do Not Knock” sign! It has worked like a charm!! Happy New Year! xoxo
