My Favorite Sources for Faux Plants

You guys, I have so much to share with you! My trip to Chicago was so amazing and I have a lot to tell you about my journey and painting techniques BUT all my photos are still on my camera. I was too tired to do it all last night when I got home from the airport. So today I thought I share my favorite sources for faux plants!

My favorite sources for faux plants!

Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the real deal but sometimes it’s nice to have some filler plants to use. Or sometimes you just can’t keep certain plants alive in your home. For example, plants don’t thrive in my she shed because there isn’t enough natural light.

That fiddle leaf is fake!

Faux Fig adds so much to this cozy she shed - My favorite sources for faux plants!Yup. It is.

So here are my favorite sources and some of my favorite faux plants!

Target

Oh, Target, how I love you! It is the one place the boys LOVE to shop with me. I can pick up our prescriptions, stroll the decor aisles and grab a magazine and some groceries. Many of the faux plants you see in my home are from this store. They have amazing cactus, succulents and fiddle leafs. I also love the containers they have them in too. You can see their full range here.

Faux aloe you'd swear was the real thing! My favorite sources for faux plants!

This faux aloe plant looks so realistic and I love the concrete planter. It works in every room. I currently have it in our dining room on the faux marble console.

The last time I was up at Target I got this sweet airplant and it’s currently on sale! I think I told you this already but the people in line thought it was real!

Again, I love the marbled pot too and it looks great on the beadboard cabinet Luke built.

Ikea

Ikea is another spot that the WHOLE family likes going to. Over the years, I’ve bought quite a collection of faux foliage from there

From the small table top fiddle leaf figs which I put in galvanized pots:

To the smaller plants that you can often find on my coffee table or nestled in shelves. These are only $3.99 right now!!!

I also added this large standing plant out in the shed and it makes the space feel so cozy! Just $59 and it will never die out in the cold!

Save On Crafts

Save on Crafts is a new source for me for decorating. Many of the faux plants from our fall home tour were from there. On the petite armoire in our dining room I used real flowers in the brown bottles but scattered faux around the top.

Fall flowers mixed with faux greenery.

Our moss covered mantel also included a faux fern from this shop. Again, wouldn’t you think that was real?

I also stuck faux maiden hair fern in this pot from Birch Lane. I can’t seem to keep the real thing alive 😉

The cloches had preserved ferns from there too.

HomeGoods

The grass in the enamel planter was a happy HomeGoods Find. I have it in the boys’ bedroom right now, but I originally shared it on this piece of furniture.

Chippy White Farmhouse Cabinet and faux plants

It’s so lifelike and I love the enamel which has been lightly distressed.

Here’s another I love from HomeGoods:

It’s in a terra cotta pot that looks like could have been from France. It is just so beautiful.

Faux plants have come such a long way. I love mixing them in with real plants and flowers to add warmth and make cozy spaces in our home. I would never just decorate with faux but it is nice to have lots of options. I like to move stuff and furnishings around in our home so it is nice to mix and match. Having a few faux pieces is great for last minute styling, oh and you also don’t need to worry about keeping them alive.
