|Rock Maple Table (Before)|
It is probably from the 1930s but I really, really didn’t like the formica table top (it just looked so shiny). But I loved the wooden legs. I found out while researching this piece that they started using formica with wood in the 1920s, which surprised me I thought it was more recent than that.

If you didn’t know, you would think it was real wood. I love working with Annie Sloan’s chalk paint for this reason! I love how the paint can really transform furniture. I love the mix of paint and those warm colored maple legs:
What do you think? Do you also like the mix of paint and wood together?
