Meredith and Her Sister, A Tale of Two Dressers

This is Meredith:

After

Isn't she quite attractive?  She's French with lovely curves and dovetail drawers.  Oh, check out the beautiful brass pulls.  Gorgeous.

When I got Meredith she was quite attractive, but a little dark.  She also was missing two of her drawer pulls.  Here she is before:

I really felt like my ASCP could bring out her inner beauty and show off her curves.  I started with Old White:

Then added my favorite color Duck Egg Blue - beautiful and dreamy and perfect for a bedroom:

The drawers were waxed with clear wax and I thought about adding some dark wax and distressing but I just thought she looked so beautiful with the two tone color.  The brass pulls needed a little bit of a clean:

I soaked them briefly in ammonia, wiping and rinsing cleaning.  They shined up really nice.  Here is one on the bureau:

I got replacement knobs from a wonderful antique shop in Cohasset.  I could spend hours and hours in Reflections Antique Emporium because it is filled to the brim with the most amazing treasures.  These little pulls were just tucked away on a shelf waiting for me:

I know, not the best 'before' photo, but here she is now.  She also got the same ASCP treatment in the same colors and clear wax:

So there are my two French lovelies.  I am in love with both these pieces so much and wish I could keep them but my house is just to small for both of them.  Meredith and Isabelle will be looking for a new home soon.  What do you think?  C'est magnifique?
