Trick or Treat!

Our Bob the Builder and Dragon in Scituate Harbor

Halloween morning started much like Christmas for some reason.  I had two very, very excited boys who really wanted to go trick or treating and they hadn’t had a single drop of sugar yet!

Thankfully we missed the huge snowstorm which hit Massachusetts leaving many with loads of snow and without power.  Due to the snow and power outages Halloween has been rescheduled in many places until Sunday.  Here in Scituate, our beaches sustained very large waves and strong winds, but we were able to enjoy a really fun time in the harbor with the kids trick or treating on All Hallow’s Eve.

John was decked out as a dragon (NOT a Dinosaur as some thought he was) as he had iridescent wings:

Our ‘sad’ dragon.

While Conor was Bob complete with a tool box for his candy, a hard hat, boots and an authentic tool belt.  All day long, I asked who are you going to be and this little voice shouted, “BOB!”  Then I’d say, “What does Bob do?”  Conor would laugh, “Fix It!”

Front Street did not disappoint.  There were smurfs, sharks, more dragons, princesses, characters from Star Wars, pirates, superheroes.  There were also witches stirring their cauldron infront of Little House of Art:

And our dragon finally had enough courage to approach them this year (see green ears in photo above).
There was candy for kids, wine tasting at Front Street Gourmet and treats for four-legged friends outside of Riva’s.
Trick or Treating – dog style

We saw dogs dressed up as pirates and one even with a pink mohawk.

Front Street Gourmet greeted visitors with a spook-tacular entrance,
while TK O’Malley’s made John laugh with their Angry Birds Jack-o-Lantern:
We walked:
and we walked:
and we walked as far as little legs could go:
My tired ‘Bob’ and ‘Dragon’ went to bed with their heads full of thoughts of the sweet candy they will eat tomorrow. Happy Halloween to all, and to all a good night!

Our pumpkin this year – a happy spider!!!
