Leaf Peeping & Visiting Barbour Outlet in NH

On Sunday morning we took a little adventure with our dogs, Max and Beau. I know this may sound weird but I hadn’t been up to NH for a few years despite it being the next state over… Luke and I thought it would be fun to take the dogs on a little trip.

Heading North

It’s near peak season in NH right now so we thought it would be the perfect time for a little adventure with the pups. We packed loads of water and their lunches. Then hopped in the car. A little under two hour drive and we got to Milford, NH.

The leaves are breathe-taking, even from the car.

A Walk in the Woods

On the drive up I looked into dog friendly walking trails and found loads. We decided to do the Vista Trail about a 4.5 mile hike. It was Beau’s first time in the woods and he loved it so much.

Actually, we all did. The vistas and views were amazing. Here’s some of what we saw.

Does anyone know what this type of fern is? I thought it was so pretty.

What I loved so much is that it was so quiet. We only saw a few people and dogs. It was so peaceful and just what we needed.

Barbour Outlet

Did you know Milford also happens to have a Barbour outlet? It’s the ONLY outlet in America. I have a Barbour jacket and absolutely love it. The outlet offers repair and waxing services so I brought my coat up to be re-waxed.

In addition with thought we’d get a start on our Christmas shopping. This outlet is so amazing. Plus it’s dog friendly!!! Yup, you read that right. We brought both Max and Beau inside and everyone who worked there was so nice to the dogs.

I shared a few images on instagram and got loads of questions regarding the outlet. There was two spaces open to the public – a retail showroom and a space that feels more like a warehouse. The warehouse room had 75% off retail price plus wellie boots of $39.99. Luke found three beautiful shirts for $99.

The other space is more like a beautiful showroom, but even in here the prices were really great – 60% off retail price. We left with loads of goodies and two happy dogs.

We had planned to have lunch outside at vineyard with the dogs but the rain didn’t hold off. We ended up strolling around Milford Pumpkin Festival and then enjoying Wendy’s in the parking lot in the car before heading home. It was a lovely little road trip and a perfect way to welcome fall.
