Hello, 2026!
Hello, dear reader, and hello 2026! This is the first post I’ve written for the new year and I really enjoyed starting the new year in this way last year. What a year 2025 was! So many amazing firsts, but if I’m honest, some really worrying times for my family in terms of health. We said farewell to our sweet Poppy (just before her 15 birthday – she really was the best dog). We are all healthy and fingers crossed will have good health this year. It’s my wish for each of you too!

A Quick Look Back at 2025
Before I share my thoughts and dreams for the New Year I wanted to a highlight a few favorites from last year.
An Amazing Trip with Luke to England
We usually travel with our kids so this was our first trip, just the two of us, in quite some time. We visited Bristol and had a mini reunion with uni friends, we travelled up to the Lake District to see Beatrix Potter’s home (I still need to share a little tour with you – I plan on doing that this month) and we spent a few days in London – see our London favorites here.

My First Time Camping!
I know to some this may sound crazy, but I’d never camped in a tent before. It was our first time camping as a family and our first time on the islands of Lake George. Boy, was it stunning! Read more about our Lake George camp experience.

Discovering the Berkshires
On the way home from Lake George, we stopped for an overnight visit to the Berkshires and we’re eager to go back. You can read more about our Berkshires Mini Break.

A New Rug
With two dogs and two boys it was time to replace the old rug and I found a beauty at HomeGoods! This rug is still making me smile and I still love the orientation of the room this way.

Blueberry Picking and Our Favorite Muffin Recipe
It’s a family tradition to go blueberry picking on a farm in our town. We like to go early before the heat and before work. Then I love making these Jordan Marsh Blueberry Muffins.

Visiting John at RISD
It always makes a mamma happy to see their kids thriving. John started his second year at RISD and loves having a campus apartment. We had so much fun moving him in and visiting him for family weekend.

He’s actually off to study in Provence with Brown and RISD this month for a few weeks. He’ll be studying illustration and neuroscience. We’re really so excited for him (and secretly wish we were going too)! I’m trying to convince him to share highlights from this trip on Instagram so I’ll keep you posted if he shares more.
Shop Highlights
My little shop received a whole lot of love in 2025. It really, really grew this year. We are now in over 130 retail shops! Let me know if you have a favorite shop where you’d love to see our products. I’ll reach out to them!
This year was peppered with fun new products and features. We launched the cottontail bunny collection, mini note cards, a summer collection, the 2026 calendar (which sold out), paintable winter cards, and a watercolor workbook. I also continued teaching in person classes at Noted and we took part in the Hingham Arts Walk and a bunch of holiday markets.
What Women Create Feature
It was an honor to be featured in What Women Create in the spring issue. You can read more about that here.

Made in Mass Feature
It was a dream come true being featured on Made in Mass. Doug Meehan is just as nice in person. See highlights of the shoot.

Book Launch
It has been a dream to write a watercolor book and I did that this year! I launched my first watercolor workbook and it has a coastal theme. It’s been so well received. We also had a launch party at Noted in Hingham. You can read more about the launch party here.

Hello, 2026!

It has been so busy, especially November and December that we just had a very quiet Christmas in Scituate with our moms. My mom joined us from Hingham and Luke’s mom visited from Cornwall. We did a few day trips but we mainly stayed local and enjoyed the snow, we took our kids sledding, and spent time together -playing games, reading, cooking. It’s just what we all needed. It was wonderful to be together.
Goals for 2026
- Helping Conor in his college search. Conor is now a junior and is interested in visiting some schools in England and Ireland. We can’t wait to do this with him!
- Continue sharing our life and fun projects here on the blog. I can’t believe this is my 15th year of blogging and I still really love it.
- Create lovely watercolor products and inspire creativity in others. More fun things are coming this year. I’m actually picking up our first new product launches at the printers today – colorful stationery and fun Valentine’s Day cards.
- More fun classes at Noted and perhaps adding some online classes too.

I’d Love Your Input!
As I close this blog post, I’d love your input. You are so integral to the success of this blog and my online shop. I greatly appreciate your thoughts and opinions. I’d love to hear what you look forward to reading about or what products you’re dying for me to create. I’ve created a little survey which will be open for the month of January. It will take 3 minutes of your time and as a thank you I’m giving you a code for 10% off in our online shop! Here’s a link to the survey. I did a similar survey last year and I found it so helpful!
Thank You!
Thank you all so much for the love and support. I’m wishing you all a wonderful, healthy, and happy 2026.

Great post Danielle! I just completed your survey 🙂 I’m sorry I missed your launch party at NOTED 🙁 My brother bought a few candles there recently and they smell DIVINE! I’ll get there one day! Happy 2026!
