Friday Favorites (67)

Happy Friday, friends! I can’t believe how quickly the month of June has flown by. I hope summer can slow down – I want to savor it! It’s time for Friday Favorites and I have so many favorites to share with you this month.

As many of you know this month has been pretty busy with opening the studio – so many hours have been spent over there painting, patching, building furniture, moving products, and just opening up the space. So I’m behind on reading and TV viewing. In fact, I just sit on the couch and fall asleep….

Favorite Garden

My favorite garden is our front garden in June…

The path to our backyard is lined with gorgeous peonies and they sprung open and smelled like heaven. It always feels like such a gift and I wish they could last all summer long.

Favorite Skin Care

Recently I’ve tried a bunch of new skin care products and I thought I share them with you. I think you all know I love SuperGoop’s Unseen sunscreen for the face and for the body. It goes on light and isn’t greasy at all. I heard that Trader Joe’s sunscreens are very similar and a fraction of the price. The Invisible Gel Body Cream and the Daily Sunscreen are comparable and goes on just as light.

I’m a huge fan of all Bobbi Brown’s products and religiously use the following – Miracle Cream at night, Light Moisture Cream during the day, and Eye Cream in the morning and at night. I was running low on my Jones Road products and picked up Tatcha Dewy Skin Cream and Tatcha Brightening Eye Cream and I love both. The dewy skin cream is very moisturizing and I love it for my dry skin and I noticed firming the day after using the eye cream.

For body skin care, I love CeruVe Moisturizing Cream I smear it all over my body and my neck in the morning. In the evening I use AmLactin Intensive Healing Cream on my feet – it helps with cracked and extremely dry skin.

So if you have dry skin you may want to check those out!

Favorite Artwork

John created this beautiful original oil painting of Minot Lighthouse for the studio. It is covering an electrical panel. To my surprise many people were asking how much we were selling it for. John is thinking of offering commissions of Minot Lighthouse and other coastal scenes. Just reach out if you’re interested.

Favorite Bar

We love sitting at the bar at Hooper’s Judge and a few weeks ago (after working late at the studio) we had deviled eggs, mussels and fries. It was the perfect meal!

Favorite Roses

Last year we planted David Austin Roses and I absolutely love them! They are in bloom right now and delighted they are thriving.

Favorite Home Cooked Meal

Dinner always tastes better when someone else makes it. Don’t you think? John made us dinner the other night and had it ready and waiting when we got home. It was delicious.

Favorite Source for Plants

Plants make a space feel warmer and more inviting. I knew we needed some for the studio and LOVE the selection on offer at Trader Joe’s, especially at the Hingham location. I added a bunch of succulents too.
