Cozy Fall Ideas: Style Showcase
Hi friends, I hope you all had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. Our weekend didn’t really go as planned as I ended up having appendicitis and had surgery in the wee hours of Sunday morning. I’m relieved that I decided to have Luke drive me up to the ER on Saturday afternoon and I’m so grateful for the wonderful surgeon and team of nurses at South Shore hospital. Luke has been a wonderful nurse. I’m so lucky! It’s time for the Style Showcase and I think we all seem to have fall on our minds as the mornings and evenings are feeling cooler. You all know that I’m a summer girl. I find saying ‘bye to summer so very hard, but I do love the cool mornings September brings. I also love apple picking and the limelights turning to that warm pink color. Here are som ideas for slowly transitioning to fall:

I am grateful your surgery is over and there were no complications! All the more reason to sit back, recuperate and enjoy the beginnings of 🍂 autumn. Thank you for even having a great post today!
Carol
Thank you so much, Carol. I’m feeling better each day. I’m glad you enjoyed the post today xx
Oh! My Danielle!!! Yes…that would put a damper in your weekend! So glad you were able to get great care. Be gentle with yourself, your body did go through a trauma …even though you are bouncing back quickly. Reading, water color and Netflix sounds good!!!
Hi Josette, yes, wasn’t quite what we planned but I’m relieved it didn’t happen whilst we were camping on an island in New York 🙂 I’m not the most patient person so I find it really hard to chill on the couch but trying to recover and not do too much. Enjoying The Woman in Suite 11 and the new series of With Love, Meghan.
I hope you are well on your road to recovery, what a scary weekend.
My friend’s son had the same emergency surgery at South Shore last month.
Thanks for the Bodkin recommendation, we are deep into it. Be well. 🍂
Yes, recovering. Did your son have the keyhole surgery? My belly button is really really sore still but I’m on the mend. How is your son doing? I can’t believe I can’t lift 15 pounds for 6 weeks. Oooh, isn’t Bodkin really good. The first episode didn’t grab me and I wasn’t sure but its really good!
Oh my gosh! So glad you got to the hospital and are now on the path to recovery. Hope you are feeling okay!
Thank you, Molly. I’m feeling soooooo much better. Phew. Just no lifting for 6 weeks and my tummy needs to recover a bit.
