Pretty in Pink!
Do you guys remember that 80’s film staring Molly Ringwald? Gosh, did I love it. I used to love pink so much even though my mom always dressed me in bright primary colors. Ha! Ha! I always thought she wanted me to be a boy, not realizing she dressed me in the colors she loved.
These pretty tulips, are so soft and delicate.
On the Welsh dresser you might be able to see the pale pink hydrangeas she brought.
I always use blue or limelight hydrangeas in our home but I’m loving the pink.
I’ve kept the table pretty simple: an ironstone pitcher I found in the harbor. I also found that candlestick at Goodies last year.
You all know I can’t resist shells.
The weather here in New England is unpredictable and wet. We’ve gone from 100 degrees back to 50… Lots or rain…
I took these photos while it was raining outside.
The tulips are drooping slightly but I really love that romantic look.
I’m usually drawn to blues, purples and greens but I think I need to buy myself more pale pink flowers.
In the living room are brighter pinks!
Fifi cut these branches from our bush and used them in our bedroom. Right now I have them on the mantel with shells of course! 😉
To be honest I’m finding it hard to get much work done this week, with all that is going on in the world I can’t wrap my head around the hate. I usually keep things positive and optimistic here on the blog. I am truly a glass is half full person but my optimistic nature finds it hard to find anything good in the tragedies that are going on in the world. My heart goes out to the people of Manchester and prayers to those who have died or been injured at the concert. I look at my own children and know there were so many hurt that were their ages. It’s so sad. This world seems so different than the one I grew up in.
I went to so many and never thought my life could be in danger.
For now, I’m trying to focus on the good. The beauty of nature and flowers.
I apologize for the somber tone.
