This Week on Finding Silver Pennies:
Onto the features! They are all furniture this week. I’ve started up painting again and was so inspired by ALL of these:
This Week’s Features:I have been a fan of Touch the Wood for quite some time. Kat and Kris really care for the furniture they restore and it is so apparent in their work. Amazing attention to detail. This secretary is STUNNING. I love the step by step they take their reader through on this one: Sometimes a piece can be restored without paint and it looks just as stunning! How gorgeous is this table by Camille over at Gustave and Voltaire? She restored the patina with oil. I love this piece: Wendy over at Front Porch Mercantile showcases a new color in the Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint line – Layla’s Mint. This color is so dreamy and perfect on this vintage piece. I can’t wait to try it. I am always in awe of Martha over at Martha Leone Design’s work. Her ability to reimagine furniture and her graphic background are such a unique combination. How fabulous is this art deco piece in metallic silver. Unexpected and wonderful! ** Before we proceed with the link up. I just want to say thank you to these furniture restorers and others whom I follow regularly. I am constantly inspired and informed by their creativity. I try to share what I learn on the blog and the above (and others do too). I learn with each piece and still have a ways to go. I truly believe by sharing what we learn we all become better artists.
Now it is your turn! Can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to this week.
- Link up your fun, creative, thrifty projects. I’m partial to painting furniture, but anything goes for this link party – DIY Projects, home decor, cooking, crafts, painting, sewing…
- Grab a button (on the side bar) or link back in some way. You must have a visible link back to be considered for a feature.
- Visit some other links – everyone likes to receive comments and love.
- I’d love for you to become a follower, but that is entirely optional.
