Easy & Affordable Fall Decorating

I love autumn decorating.  It can be so fun and affordable.  I did this galvanized tray for our living room and it was so fun and easy.

I ‘shopped’ my home for items I already had and the supermarket.  Could that be any easier?!?

I filled the tray with black eyed peas from the supermarket:

Black Eyed Peas

Tossed in some wine corks and pumpkins from the supermarket:

Black Eyed Peas and Corks

Then some tea lights and tea light holders from Ikea and Target:

Could it get any easier and quicker than that?  My little guy loved helping toss everything and he also loves ‘playing with the beans’ pretending it is a construction site with diggers (Ah, life with kids).

Another quick project we did was adding some creepy rats to our stairs.  My two boys loved sticking them on. So much fun and a bargain for only a $1:

 Source List:
– Galvanized Tray from Decor Steals
– Black Eyed Peas – local supermarket
– Pumpkins – local supermarket
– corks – had from drinking wine
– tea light holders and lights – Ikea
– white candle holder – Target
– black rat silhouettes – Dollar Tree

We have a great giveaway going on with Nancy at the Sea Rose Cottage for a fantastic Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint Giveaway.  If you dying to get your hands on this paint (and I know you are) then head over here to enter.

Love it!! And Fall decorating is also my favorite, I think even over Christmas, which I think can get a little overwhelming to me.

And I had to giggle just a bit when I saw this… I bought three of those trays for our place. You have excellent taste, if I do say so myself!

Love the mini pumpkins, such a cute table display. I’m still living with my summer mantle and will probably go straight to Christmas – Halloween is just not very big over here !

Also, I noticed that you have the feature button that links back to my old blog. I will have the new one (same button but the address to my new blog is in the code) in the features post so be sure to grab that one! 🙂
