Are We There Yet?

Early this morning I woke next to the body of a curly haired angel.  Conor's deep blue eyes, and his ringlets, were searching my sleepy face.  "Mommy, is it morning yet?"  Quickly followed by, "When we going?"

It is like Christmas morning in our house as our kids are so excited to be going away.  This weekend we are trading our lovely ocean views for the crisp air of the mountains.

I have to admit to you all - I'm really, really excited too!  I can't wait for our road trip in the truck (snacking on Trader Joe's goodies), playing i-spy, red car and other driving games on our journey.  It will be nice to have a change of scenery and a change of pace.  We're going up with some friends and also meeting some more up there.

If you're not familiar with NH, my boys are so excited because we are going to Storyland, a theme park that celebrates all things fairytale:

It will be our first time at the park and the best part is Conor is tall enough for all the rides.

We're looking forward to switching the computer and the phones off and being in nature.  We hope to spend many hours here at Echo Lake Park:

swimming, hiking and just being together!  Hope you all have a lovely weekend and can't wait to share our trip when we get back.
