Barefoot and Painting

No, you read that right.  Did you think I was barefoot and pregnant?  Nope, just painting.  Lots and lots of painting here.

Please don't look too carefully at my little piggies - they are in need of a pedicure!  I've been getting ready for a boutique at the Scituate Yacht Club which will be on Monday morning.  So I've been one crazy painting lady.  The house is  a complete and utter mess, not from my two angelic boys or my little Poppy girl, no but a mess from yours truly.

I've been painting anything and everything you can think of.  A piano bench (which I'll share with you on Monday) with a Parisian theme:

A fantastically chippy oar.  You may remember I found it at the Brimfield Show in May:
Painted Oar
A fantastic Martha Washington sewing table.  I'll do a more detailed before & after soon:

Plastic cups full of paint have been haphazardly placed all over my counters

along with brushes, rags and stirrers.  My wax brushes are constantly getting a soak:

I have furniture stashed in the guest room, the kitchen and anywhere else there is a free space.

I've enjoyed transforming old forgotten pieces like this one, I found at an Estate Sale the other week in Scituate from this:

Into this with my favorite Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Duck Egg Blue, with Old Ochre and some gilding wax:

I've also been busy making pillows.  Here's a set that would be lovely for a summer wedding gift:
Mr. & Mrs. Pillows

or what about this for a beach house?

I'm hoping all these items and more will find a happy home at the upcoming boutique.  I have a little bit more to do this weekend.  Keep your fingers crossed that people like Finding Silver Pennies there!
