Conor on the mad dash for eggs!

Our Easter weekend began with a fun run (and I mean sprint) around Widow’s Walk Golf Course.  Along with many other families we were there to look for eggs.  In Scituate we do things differently.  These Easter eggs are not hidden, instead the Scituate Recreation Department loads one of the greens with thousands of eggs.  I actually had a hard time keeping up with my little guy and at first had a hard time convincing him to put the eggs in his basket.  After a few moments, he got the idea.  Thanks to Scituate Rec, we had a lovely Saturday hunting for eggs.

Our Easter Sunday was very quiet.  Hot crossed buns for breakfast and a skype to family in the UK.  Sometimes, it is nice to have a quiet holiday where you can actually take your time and savor every moment.  I set the table with simple pansies:

White linens and my mom’s china that she gave me a few years ago.  It is called Juliet and I just love it so much.  I even trusted the boys with some little plates.
Nonni and Grampy came over and we enjoyed a delicious meal of baked ham, twice baked potatoes, glazed carrots and steamed broccoli.
We, of course, had Aunt Doris’ Deviled Eggs and loads of candy.  The boys loved their Easter buckets that I shared with you the other day and were on a candy high all day long.
After a yummy scrummy trifle dessert.  The sugar high wore off and Conor was fast asleep:
I am truly blessed to have such amazing sons, loving parents and the best husband.  Hope you had a wonderful weekend and a Happy Easter / Passover!
