Who Doesn’t Love A Parade?

Especially a St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Scituate?  I would have to venture a guess that everyone loves the parade and this year it just seemed to be that much better.

Perhaps, it was the beautiful sunshine and high 60s weather.

Perhaps, it was because my very favorite Nona’s Homemade opened their second location in Scituate.  Yes, we had to stop by for an ice cream lunch before the parade even started.  And, yes, it was fab:

The parade itself was amazing.  Our boys were so patient waiting on Front St. for it to arrive.

And then, there it was after about an hour.

There were police cars:

horses:

bagpipes:

old fashion cars:

clowns:

marching bands:

militia:

It was so much fun to celebrate the luck of the Irish and St. Patrick’s Day with three generations (my parents, my husband and my boys).  The most perfect day that I could ever wish for.  I feel so lucky to live in Scituate, the most Irish town in America.  My little piece of heaven by the sea.
